Latest Education Report from the
Florida Center for Nursing
The Center is pleased to release the Florida Nurse Education Survey for the 2010 - 2011 academic year.  In an effort to provide a clear and concise picture of survey results, the Center has updated the format to include a one-page cover page with key findings. This shortened version allows stakeholders to share the report more easily.
This report analyzes annual trends for years 2007 - present where applicable.  The report includes:
  • Changes in the number of pre-licensure nursing programs as compared to  last year.
  • Trends in nursing degrees.
  • Faculty vacancy rates.
  • How national influences will impact Florida’s nursing education.
To see this year’s findings and view the entire report, click here.
Happy Nurses Week!
The staff at the Florida Center for Nursing would like to wish a very happy Nurses Week to nurses worldwide! Thank you for all that you do–our work would not be possible without you!
Did you know? FCN and the Forum of State Nursing Workforce Centers
Did you know that the Florida Center for Nursing is actively involved with the Forum of State Nursing Workforce Centers? As an inaugural member and host of the Forum’s website, the Center contributes to the national work of this group and spearheaded the group’s effort to establish a minimum dataset to standardize the collection of data related to nurse supply, demand, and education.
The Forum is a group of nurse workforce entities that focuses on addressing the nursing shortage within their states and contributes to the national effort to assure an adequate supply of qualified nurses to meet the health needs of the US population. The Forum shares information in three major ways: through publications, via annual conferences, and by way of this virtual network. The Forum’s annual conference will take place
June 27-29, 2012.

Jean-Jacques Ceccarelli

ceccarelli1web

I have said enough to express the value you will derive from attending the workshop;
the rest is up to you.  The same information you will receive costs hundreds of dollars, sometimes $1997,
in other communities.  In ours, I know that the learning process will be long and I am willing to help.
It’s time for you to decide!

Mrs. Florence Bastien!

Filed under: General — arpo @ 4:27 pm

Born in Port au Prince(parents from Leogane) she came to Petite Riviere Artibonite as a child. She attended the Catholic school Notre Dame of Fatima for the Primary school then on to Port au Prince at College Marie Anne and finally to New York where she was an English Major in College. She then worked at many places like the Broward School Board–She teaches sometimes and other times she helps implement some “nouveautes” in tne system when it comes to Technology that she mastered well! In the past she had a radio show in 1320am and in radio mega with Alex St Surin. I was happy when she came in Petite Riviere in that class room and was introduced for the 1st time to us I just had to say: “Come and sit by me”!

It is an honor to say today that I support all Florence’s efforts to bring you these workshops and CORPRA is a proud sponsor of these programs of KCI International!

Keep it Flo(w)!

Great Work Florence!!!

Workshop this Saturday at the Lauderhill Library in Oakland Park by Mme Florence Bastien/KCI

Filed under: General — arpo @ 3:30 pm

Hello,
I hope you had a restful weekend.
We are getting closer to the workshop.  Throughout this week, you’ll receive information
that may be useful to you. In the meantime, please complete a short survey at

http://annoureveye.com/blog/technology-and-you/

If you completed it some time ago, please disregard the link.

Whether you plan to attend Saturday’s workshop or not, I suggest that you ask yourself a few questions,
in writing, about your product. To guide you, I have listed a few.
Have you identified your niche market?  Obviously, you can’t include everyone in your market.
What specific skills do you want to offer?
Will your offer benefit others? How?
If you already have a product, how are you promoting it? Do you know the first question people ask
these days about a business? If you answered “Do you have a website?”, you are correct.

For example, many of the people who will be reading this email are musicians. How are they promoting their music?
Could they learn marketing skills to share with other musicians via workshops for a small fee?
How do they plan their bookings? Is there a checklist, a blueprint, that they can propose to other musicians
via a membership site?
How about our comedians? Could they organize workshops around their craft? Could they share their writing techniques?  Of course!
One of them, whose name is on our list, is a comedian/storyteller; he could discuss how he conceived his latest CD, in addition to his promotion strategies.

As you can see, the possibilities are endless. I am committed to helping you find the most profitable way
to share your talents with the world. The idea is to achieve financial independence while doing what you love.
You can do it.  Of that, I am sure.
Kenbe la!
